Sensitivity

Bryce and I were at a department store and the cashier had a disability. I hope that's the correct word. He couldn't find my phone number in the system and swore at me under his breathe. He was obviously in a bad mood or maybe stressed out so I put my happy face on. While he was ringing our items up, I tried to make small talk with him and he ignored me. He kept acting annoyed and angry. I nicely said, Did I do something that made you mad? He looked at me and said No. Then we wanted a price on an item to determine if we wanted it or not and that made him madder.

Should mad people with a disability that swear be allowed to work with customers? If he didn't have a disability, I would have called his manager.

  1. I love reading your blogs so far! You are so honest and I love that about you! And I think it would have been Ok to tell the manager about how you were treated regardless! If it were my store I would want to know!
